Made by the Elven smiths of old, Orcrist has a beautiful scabbard and jeweled hilt. There are runes on the sword enchanting its blade, which glows blue whenever Orcs or goblins are near. This 39″ sword was built from the original prop designed by Weta Workshop in NZ for The Hobbit movie and carries a unique certificate of authenticity.

Orcrist Origins
During the First Age, Orcrist was forged alongside its “mate”, Glamdring, by elven smiths of old and may have been used by King Turgon or one of the Lords of the Gondolindrim. It was described to have “killed hundreds of goblins in its time, when the fair elves of Gondolin hunted them in the hills or did battle before their walls”, and was most likely lost during the Fall of Gondolin.
In Third Age of Middle-earth, Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves came upon a troll lair in Rhûdaur. Thorin found an ancient Elven sword named Orcrist, forged by the high Elves of the West. Adorning the pommel is an emblem of the heraldry of Ecthelion of the Fountain. The hilt is shaped from the tooth of a dragon.
